Add
Marquee Webcontrol
to the Toolbox in Visual Studio .NET by following these steps: (Some products will automatically install themselves into the visual studio toolbox)
1 . Start Visual Studio .NET.
2 . Customize the Toolbox.
i. Open the Toolbox, right-click it, and select Customize
Toolbox.
ii. Select the ".NET Framework Components" tab.
iii. Click on the "Browse" button.
iv. Navigate to the folder in which the dll files are
installed. By default, the installation folder is "C:\Program Files\SilkWebware\Marquee\
".
v. Select the "SilkWebware.Marquee.dll
" file.
vi. Click "Open" to return to the Customize Toolbox dialog.
vii. Check the boxes for the
Marquee Webcontrol
to add it to the Toolbox.
viii. Click OK to return to the Toolbox.
3 . Exit VS .NET. recommended
4 . Start VS .NET.

. Create new Web application or Open an extisting one.
The
Marquee Webcontrol
Icon should now appear in the Toolbox. It can now be dragged and dropped for
inclusion within your project.
When it comes time to deploy your project ensure the assembly
SilkWebware.Marquee
is included within the applications /bin directory.
How to register
Marquee Webcontrol
on a development machine.
You may trial
Marquee Webcontrol
for a period of 15 days. After this you are expected to purchase a development
license and serial number if you wish to continue using
Marquee Webcontrol
. The following is a guide to registering
Marquee Webcontrol
on a users development machine.
1 . Drag and drop
Marquee Webcontrol
onto the design surface. A product registration dialog will popup. At this
stage you may choose to register later. This popup will continue to popup once
a day for 15 days. After this the popup box will popup each time you compile
the project containing the unregistered software. You can also manually open the
dialog box by right clicking on
Marquee Webcontrol
and selecting "Register This Product" from the context menu.
2 . Clicking Purchase
Marquee Webcontrol
will send you to the
Marquee Webcontrol
purchase page where you select the appropriate license and continue with your
purchase. At the end you will be issued with a serial number via email. Please
write this down and keep it in a safe place.
3 . To register the product enter your serial number and press
validate. No other information apart from the serial number is sent to Silk
Webware for validation. Once the serial number has been confirmed (usually
after a couple of seconds),
Marquee Webcontrol
will show it has been activated and you can then close the dialog. You will
never see the registration popup again.
